I have a Huawei Inverter SUN2000 3KTL L1 and since I have my Deco wifi I am having connection issues.

I have the Deco configured in AP mode, and I have a IOT network enabled where I connect the inverter. However the last months it gets disconnected for weeks and it is very difficult to connect it again.

I suspect the device tries to connect to the master Deco node, despite having a much closer Deco slave.

Any insights of what is happening? I am experiencing similar issues with Yi Home cameras that only connect if they are close to the Master node.

Thank you in advance.

  @JordiCJ

Can we please have the firmware version and hardware version of your deco router? This will help us determine if there is a official or beta firmware that might already address this issue. You can find your firmware version in the deco by opening the TP-Link Deco app, tap More in the bottom right corner, then tap System, and finally select Update Deco to view your current firmware version.

You can find the hardware version on the bottom of your deco.

  @HelpFixDecoApp

The firmware version of all the Deco APs is 1.0.17 Build 20250403 Rel 13304 and the hardware version of all of them is DECO BE25 (EU) Ver 1.0.

The firmware was automatically updated to version 1.1.0 Build 20250718 Release 40387, but the same behaviour seems to be ocurring with the inverter.

It seems that with the new firmware is even worse. Since the previous night at 4AM I cannot manage to connect the inverter to the network. I suspect it disconnected when the new firmware was installed.

I want to point out that I have enabled an IoT network specifically for the inverter because it only supports 2.4Ghz. I have tried to connect it both with the regular network and with this one. None of them works. I have also rebooted the inverter. It does not connect.

Instead, the Yi cameras seem to work better.

Re:Huawei SUN2000 3KTL L1 connection issues
Tuesday

  @JordiCJ

Hi, thank you very much for your time and patience.

Deco BE25_1.1.0 supports "Channel Selection" under WiFi Settings>2.4&5GHz network. Have you tried to set the 2.4 GHz channel settings to be: channel 11 and channel width 20MHz?

Did it help if we manually set the preferred Deco for Huawei SUN2000 3KTL L1:

How to select a preferred signal source on the Deco App

I'll also follow up on your case via email and ask the senior engineer for further assistance.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP hello David, thank you for opening the support ticket. About your three points:

1) the wifi settings only allow to configure the parameters for the 5Ghz network (see figure attached).

2) I cannot manually select the Deco to be used by the inverter because I deleted it from the list. Since with this new firmware it does not connect at all, the entry for the device is not created again and I cannot select the specific node for it. With the previous firmware I tried it and it only made it worse.

3) I have Fast roaming already disabled and disabling Bean forming has not helped at all.

I have not been able to reconnect the inverter since the new firmware was installed.
