C225 low bitrate and unclear

C225 low bitrate and unclear
C225 low bitrate and unclear
Wednesday
Model: Tapo C225
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.1

I just bought this c225 after seeing review that it is clear and worth the price.
Unfortunately, after setup, i notice recorded video in microsd is low bitrate with 941-2000+ kbps, super pixelated and much worse especially when rotating. i have selected 15fps with 2k, I'm using sandisk extreme pro 512GB for local storage recording
For this price, even the similar price range ezviz H6C pro have a high bitrate of 3500+kbps which makes the recorded video very clearer

Like others have requested, can your developer up the bitrate or let us choose ourselves, this type of pixelated video have totally no use as a camera. Imagine your phone takes such pixelated video...... this is unacceptable, I'm not the first to experience this and so many months no fix. For now it is going back into to the box and probably returned.

And for person detection, can you at the very least turn the camera to keep the head in view, not just tag the body

Hi,
Usually, you can refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot if the video quality does not meet your expectations
Enhance Video Clarity: Troubleshooting Tips for Improving Camera Video Quality

Thank you for your feature request to increase the bitrate or allow users to select their own bitrate. I'll log it and forward it to the relevant team for evaluation.

Best Regards

@unrealistic Report it to the support through app, I have beta firmware and they fixed a lot of issues for me, like FPS limited with HDR on, limited in night mode, and when camera is pan-tilting. I asked them for higher bitrate because all footages when auto tracking is on, blurring as hell. The more of us report it, the faster it will be fixed ;d
