AX55 firmware release 1.4.1 Build 20250821 rel.70686
OK, This morning my two AX55 (1.3.5 Build 20241211 rel.34816) indicated, that a new firmware is available: 1.4.1 Build 20250821 rel.70686.
I might just update via internet, but normally are more confident with a local file update, but I cannot locate this firmware for download anywhere.
I'm running a pair of AX55 in access point mode (EasyMesh / ethernet backhaul) and does anyone with a similar setup in here have any experience with this new firmware ?

Hi @adrianadik ,
Have you tried the beta firmware? Does it help?
If you have any update, please don't hesitate to reply here.

Hello @adrianadik ,
You can try the beta firmware here.
Note:
- Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the pre-release firmware!
- For the sake of insurance, it's always recommended to save a copy of the router's Backup Config file before upgrading or downgrading.
- You may follow the guide to upgrade the firmware of your router. How to Upgrade the Firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers.

Hello @StickyToepad81 ,
Have you tried to hard reset the router and configure it again? This might directly eliminate the abnormal VPN connection caused by the change.

@Joseph-TP I have exactly the same problem. After updating my router today, my vpn client doesn't connect. I checked my vpn file as you said but it only contains my certificate (<ca>, <cert>) and private key (<key>), and there are no lines that contain ##. I tried uploading the vpn file again and doesn't help. Please give me a solution or tell me how to revert to the old firmware. Without the client vpn function the router is useless to me.

@Joseph-TP This is my current Firmware and hardware Versions after updating and having the client VPN problem:
Firmware Version:
1.4.1 Build 20250821 rel.70686(4555)
Hardware Version:
Archer AX55 v1.0 (EU)
Should I install the original 1.3.5 firmware and downgrade? Or should I install the new beta firmware 1.3.5 which I guess is for US region. Does it work on EU as well?

@Joseph-TP Hi, it wasn't necessary fortunately. I've also got Wireguard server to work again by disabling & enabling it, create a new remote account and export the new config file. I've used this link for help setting up the account (Allowed IPs).
I've got a super fast connection and internet speed with it, and resources are accessible (but only over IP-address).

May I know which special characters are used? Could you provide some of them?

Hello@StickyToepad81 ,
Just so you know, if your PC is on the same LAN as a NAS, you can easily find it. However, if you are using a remote PC as a VPN client, you may not be able to find the NAS but can still access it by visiting smb://IP of NAS or ftp://IP of NAS in a File Explorer.
More details, please refer to Why can’t I access or discover certain devices over VPN?

@Joseph-TP There was an @ in my client VPN password which I had to remove it and then it connected.

Hello @MaziKhan ,
The new firmware has actually fixed it. However, you are currently using beta firmware. It's recommended that you wait for the next firmware update, at which point this problem should no longer occur.
