Hey,

I am planning to get three Deco X20s to have mesh wifi in my house but I have no clue if this will give me a horrible gaming experience. The setup I am planning to do is:

ISP Router (in bridge mode or maybe just no Wifi) -> Main Deco Parent -> Satellite Deco -> Satellite Deco -> PC

All of these connections are wired and I am hoping to use ethernet backhaul. Any ideas of things that can go wrong with this setup? I originally wanted ISP router + one router + range extender but that's causing some range and speed issues on my end.

Cheers

Hi, welcome to the community.

For the topology here:

ISP Router (in bridge mode or maybe just no Wifi) -> Main Deco Parent -> Satellite Deco -> Satellite Deco -> PC

Would there be any network switches between the Deco X20? Or are they connected directly via Ethernet cables?

There isn't an obvious issue with this topology, and it is also recommended to set Deco into Access Point mode:

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
