I run this router since several months and face the same issue all along. I have tried to set up an automated regular reboot, but it has not resolved.

 

The modem/router shuts down the modem at random times after running for several hours just fine. All the led indicators disappear other than the wifi and power led. Once in this state, it does not recover other than turning it off and on again. In the system logs I could not find any information.

Is this a common problem and what can be done about it? In the forum I could find things where it loses 4G reception  but it would recover from this, no?

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

I think this is the first time I have seen such feedback on Archer NX600.

How frequently does the "auto-power off" feature typically activate?

 

Restarting the hardware will clear the previous logs, which might be why the system log didn't record anything.

Have you tried to plug the router into another power socket? It might also be related to a poor connection of the power supply.

Thank you for your response. I would estimate that it happens daily.

Regarding power I can exclude because it doesn't turn off the router, only the modern functions. The shutdowns are only the scheduled ones. 

 

Indeed, the logs are starting from the reboot. But since at reboot it works and then only turns off at a later time I would expect to see a log entry when in this awkward state.

May I know your SIM carrier?

 

I think I must have misunderstood some descriptions and thought the problem was the 5G modem router auto-powering off.

Currently, I hope you can disable the reboot schedule and install the beta firmware here to see whether it helps:

And if the 5G drops out again, it would be highly appreciated if you could help me save the following details:

  • A screenshot of the internet status page

  • A copy of the web UI system log under Advanced>System tools>System logs
