SMB 2 compatible ADSL Router with USB port that works with Windows 10 / 11
I have a VR900v2 that is an ADSL modem router , is there an upgrade ADSL Router for this in the VR range or similar ?
I need SMB 2 compatability for Win 10 / 11 though as there is no FIRMWARE update for the VR900 , it only does SMB 1 ,
Windows is now deprecating SMB1 and even when you use PROGRAMS and FEATURES to install the
old SMB 1 version it is now not working reliably.
I need SMB 2 so the USB port can be used as an SMB SHARE for the 3 laptops on the Home Network.
I am finding it impossible to get any specifications regards this from the website .
Anyone got any ideas ?

Is your internet connection DSL? As far as I know, our current DSL modems don't support SMB 2.
If your internet connection is via an Ethernet cable connected to the modem, consider a WiFi router. Most of our WiFi routers support SMB 2.

@Joseph-TP
Unfortunately I have DSL , well actually VDSL , yes I saw there are many of your wireless routers that support SMB2 ,
but for some reason none of the Modem versions have SMB 2 support , its not impossible as other consumer Modem / Router
combos do it , especially ones that can run custom firmware .
Any idea why this is the case and will TP Link add this in coming models , as there seems to be no firmware updates
for any of the Modem / Routers for this BUT some of the normal Routers have had a firmware update to enable the
SMB 2 protocol.

Hello,
I regret that there is no news about updating the firmware to upgrade to SMB 2 at present.
