Model: EB610v
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.1.0 3.0.0 v60ae.0 Build 250808 Rel.67473n

Am based in Hong Kong and recently upgraded my internet to 2.5Gbps. The ISP (Hong Kong Broadband Network) provided a new EB610v router and I am trying to find a suitable Wi-Fi 7 device to extend the WiFi in my home.

My previous network setup used an Archer AX23 (https://www.tp-link.com/hk/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax23/) and an RE605x v3 (https://www.tp-link.com/hk/home-networking/range-extender/re605x/), however, despite being EasyMesh compatible, neither seems to work with the EB610v. I tried using the Aginet app to find both devices - the RE605x did not show up at all, and the AX23 only appeared after a lot of trial and error but then had no internet (orange blinking LED on the AX23) - and would no longer appear as part of the network once relocated to another room.

I also foolishly bought 2 Deco BE25 devices (https://www.tp-link.com/hk/home-networking/deco/deco-be25/(us)%20v1%20(2-pack)/), not realizing they're not compatible with EasyMesh - very frustrating.

I've seen the list of TP-Link EasyMesh compatible devices (https://www.tp-link.com/hk/easymesh/product-list/) but, given the experience above, am wanting clarity on what Wi-Fi 7 device will actually work with my router! Any experience is helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: After further testing, I factory reset the RE605x and was able to connect it using the TP Link Wi-Fi online site. However, if anyone knows what routers are compatible with EB610v / the Aginet app that would be helpful, as in the future I may upgrade from a range extender to have a proper mesh system.

Hi,

According to earlier posts from TP-Link, their "Aginet" routers are only distributed through ISP's. They are not officially being sold as retail products to consumers. (apart from maybe in Brasil)

Despite that, it seems these routers have shown up for sale in several countries, although I guess this happens without TP-Link's blessing.
