Model: Archer NX200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 3.0.0 v60e0.0 Build 250812 Rel.76795n

As per logs below, i'm facing a lot of problems with this router:

- random  SIM plugged. / SIM unplugged. messages that cause disconnection

- random  network changed: 222,88->0,0 messages that cause disconnection

- some LTE: Exception:fopen fail Exception:get_dns_state fail

Never had a day without issues or disconnections.

I feel like i'm a beta tester, not a customer

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know your SIM service provider?

How long have you had the Archer NX200?

In case the disconnection is closely related to the SIM card detection, could you please refer to this link to see whether the SIM card is oxidized:

Maintain Consistent SIM Card Performance: Prevent Oxidation and Contamination on Metal Contacts

By the way, would the internet light randomly turn off?

If we temporarily set "Network type" to "4G only", would it improve the network stability?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP
service provider is WindTre italy

tried with 2 different brand new sim card. made no difference. disconnection is not SIM related but software related.

i bought the router a month ago

setting to 4G only would mean my speed would be cut to 1/3, i cannot afford it. i could try during the night and see the logs, but i cannot stress this enough, i didn't buy a 5G router to use it on 4G

I should clarify that some disconnections happens because the service provider changes ip every 4 hours.

When this happens the router reconnects, most of the times in a reasonable time, some times it takes too long (talking about minutes).

Those disconnections are manageable and not related to the router obviously (even though the amount of time to reconnect is something to look at).

I took that in consideration so this post is aimed to address the disconnections not related to the service provider.

I notice the router runs many independent monitoring services, default there is 8second sleep and reconnects but sometimes other monitoring services may trigger different actions like reset, re-initialize.

  @myag

how do you managed to monitor those services?
it seems you cannot ssh to this router and i don't see any system monitor

  @mrrr

Open support case, they may give customized firmware for your device.

I ran into multiple issue and still running test firmware (device locked) with fix for my issue.

check forum for similar traces.

Hi, yes, I'd be glad to follow up on your case via email. Have you received the email with the beta firmware version?

Please feel free to update the email with further improvements.

Best regards.
