 I have 2 ax12, 1 wiredly connected to the isp's router then the other set as satellite. done the easymesh setup through tplinkwifinet. the first router connected to the internet no problem, but here's the problem with the satellite router:

 

- phone, tablet anything connected wirelessly displayed no internet

 

- PC (ethernet connected to satellite router) has internet connection (most probably because I connected ethernet cable between both ax12)

 

both routers have updated firmware

 

anyone has a fix to this besides connecting them using access point?

Hi,

 

As far as routers made by TP-Link are concerned, not all of the routers that support EasyMesh do also support EasyMesh connection via Ethernet.

 

Looking at this list https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/593722 the Archer AX12 doesn't seem to support it.

 

If two routers that only support wireless EasyMesh (like the Archer AX12) are connected via Ethernet cable, then this will screw up the EasyMesh network. 

 

The only possible "fix", beside connecting the second AX12 as regular access point, would be to wait for TP-Link to release a firmware update that adds support for EasyMesh via Ethernet Backhaul.
