Issue with 5 GHz Band on Deco AC1200 M4R
hi,
I purchased a Deco AC1200 M4R from the UAE. I am now using it in Pakistan, but I’m facing an issue I’m unable to use the 5 GHz band on my locally purchased mobile phone.
The 5 GHz band is visible and works fine on other devices that were purchased from the USA and UAE, but not on my local device.
Please advise on how to resolve this issue.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Ali

Hi, welcome to the community.
It is very likely due to the different wireless regulations between Pakistan and the UAE regions.
I think Pakistan prefers band 4/ channel 149-165 over 5GHz, while the UAE uses band 1/channel 36-48 over 5GHz.
It is recommended to purchase Deco models from the local market to ensure a stable WiFi network.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@David-TP Will Bangladesh beta firmware works on his Deco? You provided to everyone around 2-3 years ago which will change the 5 GHz band.

Hi, I'm afraid there hasn't been a beta firmware that is based on the 1.7.0 firmware version. Besides, if you change the 5GHz channel to band 4, then the UAE-purchased mobile devices might no longer work. It is suggested to check with the local technical support to seek further assistance:

Thank you very much for your understanding and support.
