Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Deco BE65_V2_1.2.0_250718

Just bought a new iPhone 17 Pro, I was so happy, but then the problems started

The problem I'm experiencing is that communication with MLO enabled doesn't work properly on the iPhone 17 Pro, it keeps dropping the connection as long as I have MLO enabled

It;s switching on and off, and the connection is not stable

This problem does not occur when switch off MLO and leave 6GHz channel enabled

  @TobyTheCat

Hello @TobyTheCat  @Gino-S

Thank you both for reporting this abnormal or unexpected behavior of your iPhone 17 or 17 Pro working with our Deco BE65 V2.

When the MLO network is enabled on the Deco BE65 V2, which wireless network does your iPhone 17 or 17 Pro connect to? Is it connected to the MLO Network or the combined 2.4/5/6 GHz network?

@TobyTheCat, is your iPhone 17 Pro also running the latest iOS 26?

Re:Deco BE65 and iPhone 17 Pro MLO troubles

  @Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin,

Yes, when MLO is enabled on the Deco BE65 V2, my iPhone 17 is connected to the MLO network, not the combined 2.4/5/6 GHz network.

When MLO is on, the iPhone 17 constantly disconnects and reconnects. In the Deco logs I can see repeated errors such as:

  • wds delete

  • send ioctl failed

  • interface not found

  • continuous MLO roaming switches

When I disable MLO and keep 2.4/5/6 GHz enabled as one combined network, everything is stable and there are no more disconnects.

My iPhone 17 Pro is running the latest iOS 26.1 i also tried ios 26.2 puplic beta 2 but its nor resolsving the problem.

This looks like a compatibility issue between iPhone 17 Wi-Fi (iOS 26) and the BE65 MLO implementation.

Hope this helps.

Hi @Kevin_Z

Thanks for your reply.

I did receive an email from TP-Link Support earlier regarding this issue, but I accidentally deleted it and I’m no longer able to reply or recover it.

Could you please resend my case details or reopen the support ticket so that I can be contacted again?

I saw that @TobyTheCat  received a beta firmware that solved the exact same Deco BE65 V2 MLO issue.

I’m using the same hardware and firmware version (Deco BE65 V2 – 1.2.0_250718) and would really like to test that firmware as well.

If possible, @TobyTheCat  , maybe you could also send me the beta firmware (via PM) in the meantime?

Thank you very much for your help!

Gino
