Model: Archer TXE72E
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version:

Hi!
I just bought an Archer TXE72E WiFi/Bluetooth adapter for my PC running Windows 11 Pro 25H2.
I installed the card and I have both devices showing up in my device manager:

  • Bluetooth / Generic Bluetooth Adapter

Problem Code 0000002B / Problem Status "The operation completed successfully. 00000000"

  • Other devices / Network Controller

Problem Code 0000001C / Problem Status "There are no compatible drivers available for this device. C0000490"

The Bluetooth device seems to default to an incorrect old Microsoft driver and the WiFi device cannot find a driver at all.

I installed the V1.8_22.250_Win10_Win11 drivers from TP-Link (https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-txe72e) and rebooted.

Afterwards I still see the devices in the same error state;  they seem to have ignored the freshly installed drivers.

Then I installed the 23.170.0 drivers from Intel (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/intel-wireless-wi-fi-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html) and rebooted, but ended up with the same bad result.

I tried to point Windows manually to the AX210 drivers, but that does not work either (Windows deems these drivers to be incompatible with the device).

So the devices are detected by Windows, but they do not seem to get the correct drivers and hence end up failing.
I am not sure what hardware version I have, but the box says UN/2.0 after the serial number, so I assume this is V20.  Part number is 0152502477.

Can someone point me to the correct drivers?

Thanks!

Hi,

For some reason TP-Link hasn't managed to upload the driver for hardware version 2.0 to their regional US website yet.

But it can be downloaded from TP-Link's "Worldwide" website.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-txe72e/v2/    (note, in case you get a pop-up asking you to "GO" to your regional website, then you must close that pop-up by clicking the X)

Regarding "Device PCI\VEN_14C3&DEV_7922 ...". Vendor ID 14C3 has been assigned to the company MediaTek and Device ID 7922 refers to their MT7922 Wi-Fi 6e module. That's why it refuses the drivers from Intel.

@woozle   Thanks, you are a life saver!  :-)
Installing that V2 driver did the trick!
Annoying that this V2 driver is available on the other TP-Link site though  :-\
Cheers!
