Model: Deco XE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.1 Build20240722 Rel 60491

I've got 1Gps Fibre Service comng into my home and a 3 Node XE75.

Since getting the XE75 I've never been able to exceed speeds of 500 Mps on my Desktop PC which is hardwired to the Main Deco Unit and of course the other units are getting anywhere from 200 to 400 range.

What could be retricting my speed even on the main PC which is connected ethernet to the main router?   I've checked the modem supplied by my ISP and connected directly to it and there I am getting 980 Mbps....  I'm scratching my head.

Can anyone offer any help or advice?

thanks

@holsen1 I'll just add to the original message.   I took the main Deco Unit which was connected to the Router via CAT5 by about 60 feet of cable and went and directly connected it to the router over a 2 foot cable.  Rebooted it and got 780 Mbps wirelessly on my phone a couple of feet a way.   I brought that same Deco back to my office and reconnected it to the CAT 5 that runs from the modem back to my office and again got 770 wirelessly and 1 Gbps on my desktop hardwired to the Deco XE75.  I ran the speed test one more time and everything is choked back to 480 - this is driving me crazy.....  Why why why would this be?

Hi, nice to see you again.

If you leave the main Deco XE75 connected to the ISP modem via a 2-foot short cable(or less than 10 feet), will it constantly provide a 1G connection speed to the wired laptop?

I think the 60-foot cable is long enough for the main Deco, which might bring the huge speed loss.

It is also recommended to connect the ISP fiber router to another Ethernet port on the main Deco.

-By the way, if there is always an ISP router, you can also set Deco XE75 into Access Point mode to see whether it helps stabilize the speed:

How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
