Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.8.1

My Two (in a mesh configuration  with wifi backbone) deco M4R randomly reboot when using my work windows computer. While using my macbooks, iphone, android phones or other iot devices, everything works well, but every work day at home, that i connect the work laptop (windows) at some time (some days even twice) both decos reboot (thus loosing internet connection for at least 5 minutes or more).

I've tried entering the webinterface to see the logs, but everytime i go in, the logs start at the moment of the reboot, so i cannot se anything of note.
It was hapening a little bit (but not that frequently at all, nowadays its daily or even twice a day) with lower Firmwares but since 1.8.x it's daily or more.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

Does it help if the work Windows computer connects to the Guest Network/5GHz band?

Did you run any VPN connections on the work computer?

It is also recommended to check whether there is any new wireless driver for the computer.

A 1.8.2 firmware was released a few weeks ago. Please also update to the latest firmware first.

Best regards.

Hi, Thank you for your answer.
As you suggested, creating a guest network ONLY for my work laptop seems to have fixed the issue (for the past couple of days). Since the problem was intermittent, i need more time to tell you a 100% it's fixed but it looks great.
The vpn runs a vpn sometimes, yes, but it was not related to the vpn being connected.
I've seen the new update, since i'm running stable right now, i will refrain from updating for the time being. Or do you see any need for updating regarding my problem?

Thank you for your time
