Allow lists for wireless access control on outdoor units
Hi
i have a pair of Deco XE75-Pro devices providing my mesh network and have added a X50-Outdoor. However when this was added I lost the ability to set up an allow list of devices for wireless access control.
i wondered a) whether this would be fixed in a future firmware update or b) whether the BE25-Outdoor has the same limitation.
Regards

Hi, welcome to the community.
Deco BE25-outdoor supports WiFi Access Control/Allow List.
For Deco X50-outdoor, it is also planned to add this feature. It is recommended to pay attention to the firmware upgrade notification on the Deco App or Firmware release notes on the official website.
Best regards.

Still desperately waiting for the Whitelisting solution. When is it expected to be added?

There has been an open beta going on since this Febuary for certain hardware versions of the XE75 pro. You will want to find the hardware version of your deco first and then check the folloing post to see if it can be installed on your units.
You can find your hardware version number on the bottom of your deco.
Thanks

I've had v1.4.1 on the xe75 pro's for a long time. It's the upgrade for the x50 outdoor we are waiting for

So the tp-link staff are usally never told when a beta is coming out until they get to work and the engineers surprise them with one. But we can still check with a member of the staff to see if they have heard aything.
Any updates on beta firmware for the X50 outdoor units?
Please advise,

Unfortunately people have been waiting for some time to get updates on both the X50-Outdoor and POE models.
If a feature you require isn't available in the firmware for the model/revision you have, maybe the fastest route would be to get a BE25-Outdoor, test it and if it supports the feature required, sell the X50-Outdoor?

Hi,
We do not currently have new firmware for the Deco X50-Outdoor that supports the allow list for wireless access control. It's recommended to pay attention to the Firmware column under the Deco model's Support page on our official website; new firmware is usually updated there upon release.

Hi
We were told in January that the feature for the x-50 was planned and to keep a watch on announcements for new firmware.
My question was whether there had been any internal news updates since January ahead of a public announcement.

Hi,
We don't have any news updates on this feature request for Deco X50-Outdoor ahead of a public announcement, so we suggest paying attention to the firmware release on our official website.
