TP-Link Archer NX200: Disconnection issues with MVNO CoopVoce (Vodafone network)

Hardware Version: V2.2 (EU)

Firmware Version: 1.2.0 3.0.0 v60e0.0 Build 250725 Rel.73467n

Hello, I live in Italy and I am experiencing disconnetcion issues with my TP-Link Archer NX200 router. I am using a Sim card from the mobile virtual network operator CoopVoce (which operates on the Vodafone network). I have added a new APN profile with the following settings:

PDP Type: IPv4

APN Type: Static

APN: internet.coopvoce.it

Username: (empty)

Password: (empty)

Authentication Type: CHAP

Data Roaming: Enabled

NAT: Enabled

Mobile Data: Enabled

The router detects the network and bands (the signal is strong and it uses LTE or LTE plus network), it works but each 2 hours (It depends, it's not at the same timing) mobile signal Is disconnecting and the router loses the internet connection for 50/70 seconds, then reconnecting automatically.

I have alteady tried to fix the band using only B3 for instance, but the issue is still there.

Can you please let me know of this is a known issue?

It's really frustrating especially when doing real time meetings.

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards

Claudio

  @Cla_

Hi, would the internet get more stable if the Network Mode is set to "4G only"?

It is recommended to save a copy of the web UI system log and send an email to local technical support for further assistance:https://www.tp-link.com/it/support/contact-technical-support/#E-mail-Support

(Please also try to include the forum link here.)

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

Ciao @David-TP,

thanks for your prompt reply!

I've just set the connection to $G only: I will monitor the stability in the next few days and I will let you know.

In the meantime, I will open the ticket to the local technical support attaching the system logs as suggested.

Thanks

Kind regards

Claudio

  @Cla_ Hey claudio,
i am from italy aswell, i read in the forum hwupgrade that CoopVoce has such issues like, issuing a new Ip every few gb or every few time. This may cause disconnections, for that reason i choose a different operator, but i am on vodafone network aswell.

  @Deam Ciao Deam,

thanks a lot for your message!

After setting some parameters as suggested in the message before, it seems that the situation has improved.

I am still checking but as far as I saw until now it is acceptable!

I was thinking to test another carrier, can you please let me know which one are you using? I guess that it is Ho Mobile, isn't it?

If yes, how is it working?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Ciao

Claudio

  @Cla_ Hi Claudio, i am using Fastweb which recently switched over to Vodafone Network when they merged with them January. Its a little bit pricier compared to CoopVoce. Not sure about Ho, they might have other issues, cost about the same as fastweb, so you better go with fastweb anyway.

Fastweb unlimited by the way is only 600gb /month.

For me its working perfect, just the router makes me problems. But for you might depend on your tower situation.
