I’m currently considering upgrading to FTTP (XGS-PON) from my ISP, but unfortunately the new router that the ISP provides does NOT have a modem/bridge mode. I would like to continue using my Decos if possible,  although there will be a double-NAT situation that could cause problems. Would I have to run the wired network to the ISP router and use the Decos simply as access points? The latter method is unattractive as I would not be able to use the extra features like blocking wired clients and bandwidth monitoring as I currently do.

Anyone have any advice on what to do in this situation?

Hi, Access point is not the only choice. It is often recommended because it simplifies the network topology, leaving only one NAT/DHCP server so that all the LAN devices are under the same IP range. Wireless router mode also works well.

Best regards.
