Good day.

We have been having a lot of issues with our Deco S4 Mesh network. From day 1 we have been randomly disconnected, lost internet, disconnected satellite units and just random issues.

So we bought our 1st set of deco units and all was working good, then a year later, we decided to purchase another 3 satellite units to expand the network, and that is where the trouble started. We had so much trouble, that Tp-Link South Africa decided to exchange our deco units for us, but what they did was take the new V3 Deco's and replace then all with Deco 1 units. They assisted me to downgrade the firmware so that we can lock specific satellite deco's to connect to a certain unit to create a daisy chan as described on tp-link's site. This solution was working for a while now, and then suddenly it just started to prom the iPhones on our network. For no reason at all.

And now we are back to square 1 again. For the last year I did not update the firmware so that we can keep the function of locking specific deco units to connect to a specific deco unit, if you know what I meen.

Since we had dropped connections from our apple devices, I have decided that maybe I should do the update on the firmware, this might solve the problem...... guess what..... I screwed up our entire WiFi network.

Now the deco's want to connect the main unit which is around 300 feet from the last deco, which is crazy. Keep in mind that we have 6 deco units spread out in a pattern to make sure that there is enough coverage for the mesh. 

I am so fed up with this TP-LINK crap. Why can't I just buy a product, set it up, and know that it will work.

My problem is now that I can not Downgrade the Deco units any more. The new Firmware does not allow me to do so…..

What am I to do?
