I have had the Deco X60 mesh for around a year and never had too many issues but now they are connecting to each other via 2.4ghz about 90% of the time. This drastically reduces our download speeds in the part of the house that needs it most. 

I have rebooted them multiple times but can't sort this issue. They are connecting to each other with a strong signal and they haven't been moved at all the entire time we have had them. As you can see from the image below it has a strong signal but is still using 2.4ghz.

Also this one is pretty much directly above the main Deco X60 and is only about 3 metres away from it. Has anyone had experience with this or know how to fix it.

  @David-TP hi, thank you for your reply. The mobile clients do connect via 5ghz but it's just the deco unit itself keeps reverting to just using 2.4ghz to connect to the main unit.

 

It's the office one that is the issue. I have since fully reset it and for now it seems to hold but it has been a big issue. The conservatory one, which used to connect using both channels is now only doing 2.4 as well so I'll probably reset that one.

 

Thanks again for your help. I was looking at getting more units but honestly my house isnt massive and I feel like the mesh should be fine for the size according to the specifications.

Is the current firmware 1.6.0 Build 20250720 Rel. 54900?

Can I have some screenshots of the network map on the Deco App, such as:

How about the 5GHz mobile clients? Can they still properly connect to Deco?
