Tapo c660 random spins
Hi guys,
i noriced my tapo C660 randomly spins out of nowhere, it goes all the way left-all the way right-down-up, and then stops at weird angles. It does that when it usually detects cars or people. One time started doin it in a loop, half a second after alarm triggering.
Motion tracking is off, i updated it to the last version, still nothing. Also if you look at the time stamps, it goes in front, then back again.
For some reasons i can't upload the video directly here, so i will leave a link here https://www.canva.com/design/DAHEfd1o4ac/NUf4TuDXoeTK9RFBl9nbnw/edit?utm_content=DAHEfd1o4ac&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton
What do you think? Has anyone envountered this? It's kinda annoying.
what do you think? Someone encountered this?

It seems like the camera is doing Pan & Tilt Correction. Do you remember what its battery level was when this happened? Was it too low?

Battery was around 80 percent when this happened. It's weird because it does that for no reason and very often.

Hello This happens to mine too. Battery from 80% went to 40 and now from 40 went to null...or anyway turned off. Please do something. Thanks
Is your device also showing similar auto calibration behavior -- randomly panning up, down, left and right in sequence before returning to its original position?
What's the model, hardware, and firmware version of your device?

What other unusual behavior have you noticed on your device besides the faster battery drain you mentioned?
*Regarding the faster battery drain, we suggest checking the device’s battery usage data to see whether it’s related to high activity — such as frequent wake‑ups, many detection events, or extended usage time. What to do if the battery drains quickly on my Tapo battery-powered camera/doorbell?

It spins with no reason. Battery went to zero and it stopped. It happenned a few days ago. I've fully charged it and now, for the last 2 days, it stays at 100 %. I've reduced the sensitivity from 10 to 9.

Has this automatic rotation behavior reoccurred recently when the camera had a high battery level?
Also, could you clarify exactly what your device is doing? Is it performing a full auto calibration — rotating horizontally and vertically in sequence before returning to its starting position? Or does the viewing angle gradually drift away from its original setting over time or after tracking movement, for example, ending up tilted downward?
