When connected to the MLO wifi network, i get connections issues:

* apps or webpages do need long time to load their data

For me this is the reason to open this thread. The BE550 Pro V1 has a feature, which does not work properly.

On my android phone and tablet. 2 devices getting issues when connected to MLO.

sometimes this takes about 20 seconds, but i also had examples of taking minutes, up to 20. Just as of they keep looking for response, like they keep loading for almost ever.

 

Other questions or so:

* Will there be a firmware update for Archer BE550 PRO (BE9700) v1? I just bought this device, got v1 delivered, hoping not that it does no longer get updates.

* Also, the logfiles, gets no logging lines other than, the LED ligts change on 7 am and 11 pm.

* And it would be nice if IPV6 on the WAN-sides get available, as seen on firmware updates on the not-pro v2. (firmware for BE550 (not pro) is not compatible with the PRO version??? as I dont see firmwares for PRO version as threads)

* Speedtests is also a nice feature to get integrated in this device BE550 Pro V1.

Since MLO is a newer feature that allows devices to connect across multiple frequency bands simultaneously, let's troubleshoot this systematically:

First, verify if it's MLO-specific:
1. Temporarily connect your Android devices to the regular (non-MLO) network on your router to see if the loading issues persist. If the problem only occurs on MLO, this helps isolate the cause.
2. Make sure your router's firmware is up to date • log into the web interface (http://tplinkwifi.net), go to Advanced > System > Firmware Update.

DNS and network settings:
1. Change the DNS server on your router: Go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, and change the DNS servers to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8.
2. After updating DNS, reconnect your devices to ensure the new settings take effect.

Check for interference and optimize wireless settings:
1. Go to Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings and try different Wi-Fi channels for both 5GHz and 6GHz bands (since MLO typically uses these frequencies).
2. Ensure the router is placed in an open area, not inside a cabinet or shelf.

Disable features that may affect performance:
1. Go to Advanced > QoS and make sure QoS is disabled.
2. Open the Tether app, go to Parental Control, and ensure no parental control profiles are configured for your devices.
3. Go to Advanced > NAT Forwarding > UPNP to disable UPNP, and go to Advanced > Security to disable SIP ALG.

Note: MLO will only work optimally if both the router and client devices fully support this feature. Devices may connect to MLO but experience issues if their MLO implementation isn't fully compatible.

You are correct that firmware for the BE550 (non-PRO) is not compatible with the BE550 PRO version. Different router models require different firmware files, even if the model names are similar. When downloading firmware from https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/, you must select the firmware that matches both your exact router model (BE550 PRO in your case) and hardware version, as each product variant is designed specifically for its hardware.

 

As for other new features, we have not yet received any notification. We recommend that you keep the firmware updated automatically to experience the latest features as soon as possible.
