VPN unstable when connected to tp-link deco
Friday
Model: Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 Build 20250619 Rel. 69357

I recently added the Deco access points. I bought them to have better coverage and better connection through the house. During normal usage this is also the case. I have also connected them all via wire and via POE, so the connection should be very stable.

But..

In my home office, my deco is connected to my computer via wire, again to have the best reliable connection. nothing more annoying in remote meetings than missing parts of the conversation.
However, when the deco in my office is NOT the main deco, the vpn is very unstable. The moment that i trigger a bigger data load (teams meeting/speedtester), the vpn loses connection.
If the deco in the office is configured as the main one, it's more stable, but i still lose vpn connection once and a while.
While if i'm connected directly to my switch, everything is fine.

Configuration:
- All connected and powered through ethernet (POE), no external power

- Operation mode = Access Point

- Smart DHCP = disabled

- Fast Roaming = disabled

Hi, welcome to the community.

Is the current network topology like:

ISP router---POE network switch---all 3*Deco POEs

-Can I have the model number of the POE switch?

-Which VPN service have you connected to on the computer?

-Can you consistently reproduce the following issue: The moment that I trigger a bigger data load (teams meeting/speedtester), the vpn loses connection?

Can I also have screenshots of the network maps and Mesh Backhaul types on the Deco App, such as:

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
