Tuesday
Model: NE200-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Latest

Just brought a TPlink NE200 outdoor and mounted it on a pole on my roof. I have done all firmware updates, but whenever I put a sim in from 2degrees New Zealand it never exceeds 2mbps and the connection seems very unstable, The modem is connected at -88db on B1 aggregating B3 and B28. Ive tried sims from other providers like One NZ and they work perfectly fine. It is not the network or cell site since I can do a Speedtest on my IPhone 17 pro right next to the NE200 on 2degrees and get over 200mbps on the same bands on the same site. Ideally id like 2degrees to work since they have faster backhaul and less congestion, but for now im having to use OneNZ. Also will the NE200 be able to support aggregating B8,28,3,1 because I can only seem to get it to aggregate 28,3 and 1. Or 8,3 and 1.

Hi,
For the reported phenomenon, please provide the following information for further analysis.

  1. When the 2degrees SIM card is inserted into the NE200-Outdoor, please log in to its web management page and send us a screenshot of the Advanced > Status page.

  2. How do you confirm the NE200-Outdoor can aggregate B28,3 and 1(or B8,3 and 1)? After inserting the 2degrees SIM card into your iPhone, go to the dial pad, enter *3001#12345#*, then dial to access fieldtest. Then send us a screenshot of that page for analysis.

You can upload the pictures to your cloud server (such as Google Drive) or YouTube, generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

Best Regards

@Solla-topee Sorted it with the ISP, they had a weird provisioning issue on the sim that caused it to have a speed cap in the NE-200 but its all sorted now, The only issue I face is being unable to fully utilize all available bands being broadcast on this tower. For some reason the NE-200 wont aggregate both b1 carriers being broadcast from the tower, one is 15mhz and the other is 10. For some reason the NE-200 decides to stick to the 10mhz carrier and wont aggregate the other 15mhz. Currently the NE-200 only connects to B1 B3 and B28 or B1 B3 and B8. But it never aggregates both b8 and b28, which my phone is able to do. Those are both low bandwidth bands though and my main issue is not being able to fully utilize the bandwith in B1. Currently on the same tower my phone is able to aggregate B1+B1+B3+B28+B8. The NE-200 is LTE CAT-19 which means it should support 5 band carrier aggregation, but doesn't seem to be doing so. Also one other thing id like to do is to be able to lock my upload band, while keeping carrier aggregation, since it likes to use B1 which is slower than using b3 for uploading on this specific tower.

I can send through whatever logs you need too.

Hi,
The NE200-Outdoor does not support aggregate B1+B1+B3+B28+B8 and locks the upload band currently; however, it supports aggregate B1+B1+B3+B28.

Could you explain how you tested or discovered that the tower's B1 carriers are 10 MHz and 15 MHz, and that the phone can aggregate B1+B1+B3+B28+B8? Thanks!

Best Regards
