This Article Applied to:

Archer BE230_V1_1.2.5 Build 20260108

Phenomenon:

We have received feedback from some users that after updating the Archer BE230 V1 to firmware version 1.2.5, wireless instability may occur, such as the 2.4GHz SSID disappearing, inability to connect, or being able to connect but unable to access the internet.  Downgrading to firmware version 1.2.1 can restore a stable connection.

Our user kulik555 reported it here.

Available Solution:

Our R&D team has identified the cause of this unexpected behavior and has released a firmware update to correct it. If your Archer BE230_V1 is experiencing the same anomaly, you can try downloading the firmware manually.

  @Joseph-TP Firmware 1.2.1 you post it. that below firmware already release 9 month ago even beta firmware not helping.

1.2.5 already release 3 month ago. You should write new beta firmware above 1.2.7 or 1.2.9. Don't ask and not my problem

  @Joseph-TP

-Do "Fast Roaming with 802.11r Support" will ever come to BE230 V1 or V2? I saw BE550 V2 update and exited about my BE230s, because I'm struggling with "sticky client" issue at BE230' EasyMesh.

-My BE230 V2 is on version "1.3.1 Build 20260106 rel.39388(4555)", when I try to update to latest "Archer BE230(EU)_V2_1.1.6 Build 20260316", it says "Upload error." after few seconds. How can I fix this?

Re:Archer BE230 V1 May Experience Wireless Connection Instability After Updating to 1.2.5

Hello @Fixx ,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Regarding whether "Fast Roaming with 802.11r Support" will be added to the BE230 in the future, we have not currently received any definitive notification. However, if this feature receives a positive reception on the BE550 v2, we believe there is a high probability that its inclusion will be considered for additional models in order to optimize network performance.

Since you have already updated to version 1.3.1, it is not possible under normal circumstances to "downgrade" to version 1.1.x. In fact, this behavior is to be expected.

We are currently verifying the release sequence of the firmware versions.  And we have already reported this matter to the relevant departments; please keep an eye on the official website for the latest firmware information and release notes.

Best Regards.
