Intermittent LAN Connection Loss on Router While Wi-Fi Remains Functional
Hello,
I am experiencing intermittent connection issues with my router.
The main problem is that my PC, which is connected via LAN cable, randomly loses internet access. In most cases, the issue resolves itself after around 5–10 minutes, but sometimes a router restart is required.
During these outages, the Wi-Fi connection continues to work normally on other devices. In rare cases, the opposite happens and the Wi-Fi is affected instead, but this occurs much less frequently.
An important detail is that even when the internet connection stops working on the PC, I am still able to access the router interface via LAN without any issues. The router itself also does not show any internet connectivity problems or other errors during these incidents.
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
- Replaced the LAN cable
- Performed a factory reset
- Updated the router firmware
Unfortunately, none of these steps solved the issue.
Additionally, when using a different 4G router with the same PC and cable setup, the problem does not occur.
Could someone please help me investigate this issue?
Best regards
