Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: TL-MR6400(APAC)_V5.3_220506

HI,

The internet was fine prior to a few weeks ago when the internet would stop and there would be no connection usually for a very short period, which has been occuring for weeks now and then once for about half an hour. And prior to that i suddenly wasnt able to receive sms as the modem is using my sim ( there is sms messaging if i log into the modem) and now i cant get any sms except from the telco only. And i have live streaming java apps on my pc that are indicating connection is sometimes slow for short periods of time. Are there changes happening with the internet in australia? I have an australiamn modem, and i am in australia.

And i  have seen that there are updated firmware only lately, and also ISP files. I would like to update/upgrade but i assume there have been no issues with them (?). I thought to ask as it cant be downgraded according to the page.

regards

Hi,
Our official firmware has undergone multiple rounds of testing and has been verified to be working properly. You can upgrade with confidence.

It's recommended to find the TL-MR6400's hardware version first, then download the latest firmware from our official website after selecting the correct one.
1) How to Find the Hardware Version on Your TP-Link Device
2) Firmware download link(please select the hardware version first): https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/tl-mr6400/v5.30/#Firmware
3) Firmware Upgrade instructions: How to upgrade the firmware of TP-Link 5G/4G Routers

If the same phenomenon persists, please confirm the following information.
  1. Is the TL-MR6400 connected to the internet through a SIM card? Or is it connected to a modem to access the internet, and uses the SIM card as an internet backup?
  2. How do you test whether the router stops working for a very short period? Do all the connected client devices have no internet connection?
  3. Who is your SIM card provider?

Best Regards
