Here is the second test result (Image 2) showing the upload speed cap on the Archer BE550.

Interesting update: If I put the Archer BE550 as a third router in cascade (behind my Linksys which handles the main connection to the ISP), the upload speed cap disappears and I get 672 Mbps upload, as shown in Image 3 (attached).

This proves the bug specifically triggers during the WAN port negotiation or traffic shaping when the Archer BE550 connects directly to the ISP's fiber ONU.

Hello,

I posted this forum thread yesterday. Could you please let me know if you are experiencing the same issue?

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/865610?moduleId=32

I am almost certain that the issue is related to firmware version 1.3. Apparently, the support engineers have not been able to replicate the issue in their lab, and now they would like to debug my routers through TeamViewer, which I am not comfortable with.

Could you let me know what troubleshooting steps you have taken and whether TP-Link has confirmed that this is a firmware-related issue?

For now, I am staying on firmware version 1.2.6, which is one version behind the latest release, and my upload speeds are normal.

I am going to leave my routers configured this way since they are working properly until TP-Link identifies the root cause and releases a firmware update to address the problem.

Your input on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Fred
