Tuesday
Model: Deco X1500
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.5

Hello! After a lot of problems with these Doces, i got the configuration and got the Decos working.

But after that, when the app says "All is ok" and the devices are connect (with maximum signals) the Decos have a lot of wifi/signal/connection drop.
So the video goes in buffering, smart tv says wifi is disconnected, etc.

My Current setup:

- Connection speed: 100mbps/20mbps.
- Decos: 1st on 1st flor and connected to the modem with ethernet cable, 2nd decos attached to the power supply on 2nd floor (distance ~ 3-4 mt from the first)

- PC connected directly to the modem via ethernet: 0% packet loss with ~10 tests of 3-4 hours while decos are active and connected (and i got the wifi drops problems)
- Modem wifi disabled

WHat i tried:

Already tried to change the main deco ethernet cable with one that i was sure is working
Already made the decos reset via button.

Already restarted decos both from app (with "Network restart") or the power cables unplug/plug

How can i solve?
It's impossible to use the Decos with all these drops...

Thank you

Hi,
Your Deco X1500 does not seem to have the latest firmware. Please refer to the instructions below to update the Deco's firmware and check if it helps.
How to Update TP-Link Deco Firmware

Please confirm the following information if the same phenomenon persists.
  1. What's your Deco's firmware and hardware version?
  2. What's the LED status on the Deco nodes when the issue occurs?
  3. Do all your client devices have an unstable connection? Do they drop the connection simultaneously?
  4. When the issue occurs, are the client devices connected to the Deco's Wi-Fi but no internet, or are they disconnected from Deco's Wi-Fi?
  5. Do they restore the Wi-Fi connection automatically?

Best Regards

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to check the hardware and version (EU, US, etc.) of the Deco X1500 on the bottom label.

If you have Deco X1500 (EU) V1.0, please visit this website, download the latest firmware v1.4.0, and update it on your Deco. Then check if it helps.
