My C660 is connected but has a very weak WiFi signal. To correct this I attempted to connect it via the Netgear WiFi extender that I use for my car charger. The C660 connects, but with a message about having no external access and asks me to check if my router is connected to 8.8.8.8.8 which it is. 
Returning to a direct routerWiFi connection with the router resolves the remote access issue but returns to the weak signal problem.

I cannot move the router from its current location, if I move the camera it will not cover the required area.

How can I connect to the WiFi extender without losing remot?

Is your WiFi extender set up correctly and actually getting internet from your router? Does your phone has internet access when connected to this WiFi? If your phone can’t get online either, then the problem should be with the extender.

 

If only the camera can’t get online when connected to the extender, please check if there are any special settings on the extender. You might also want to contact the extender’s manufacturer support for help.

 

Since we know your camera works when connected directly to your router, the camera itself is fine. If you ask me, i would say the quickest solution in this case would be to try a different range extender.
