Archer NX200 Bridge Mode or IP-Passthrough
Hello TP-Link Support Team,
I would like to ask whether there are any news to add Bridge Mode or IP Passthrough support to the Archer NX200 in a future firmware update.
At the moment, the Archer NX200 appears to work only as a router with NAT. For many users, however, Bridge Mode or IP Passthrough is an essential feature, especially when the NX200 is used only as a 5G modem in front of an existing network setup.
This is important for scenarios such as:
- using the NX200 with an existing firewall or router/gateway avoiding double NAT
- keeping all routing, firewall rules, VPNs and port forwarding on the main router
- using the NX200 only for the 5G internet connection
- improving compatibility with more advanced home and business networks
DMZ is not a full replacement for Bridge Mode or IP Passthrough, because the Archer NX200 still performs NAT and routing. A proper Bridge Mode or IP Passthrough option would make the device much more useful for users who already have an existing network infrastructure.
Could you please confirm whether this feature is planned and is expected to be released maybe this year for the Archer NX200, so that I can think about a router replacement?
Thank you in advance for your clarification.
Kind regards,
Viktor
