Phenomenon:

We have received reports that after upgrading the Archer BE550_V2 to 1.3.1 Build 20260403, wireless clients connected to the BE550 experience a significant drop in upload speed—typically falling to 100 Mbps. 
Our user Jdgmz7 first reported this anomaly here. 

 

 

Available Solution:

Our R&D team has identified the cause of this anomaly and released a firmware update to fix it. Furthermore, our user Jason-Bourne has verified that this beta firmware can correct the anomaly here. 

Please try manually downloading the firmware if your Archer BE550_V2 is also experiencing a drop in Wi-Fi upload speeds.

I have been using the provided beta firmware for a couple of days, and I can confirm that it solves the issue and has been quite stable so far. I just hope it becomes an official firmware release soon.

Hello all,

 

I am happy to report that I have been using the beta firmware from here: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/866174, and so far I am loving it. It has been very stable, and the network has been performing exactly as expected.

 

I hope this firmware becomes official soon, and I recommend upgrading to it while waiting for a newer official release.

 

I have a 1 Gbps symmetrical internet connection, and here is my latest Speedtest result, performed using my iPhone 17 Pro Max.

  @Joseph-TP This version is for US only? I have beta version 1.3.1 Build 20251229 rel.52842(4555) installed in EU and problems with upgrade to the one above. I´m getting error upload over wifi and LAN.
