Hi there

 

i have 3 cameras (2 x C225 and 1x C220). They are working pretty stable when I Access them from a wlan. But when I Leave the House and would like to have a look without wlan Connection of my iPhone (5G/LTE mobile data) it's nearly impossible. I can Switch the Camera on but moving is Not working when trying to Switch off it's freezing for minutes. When again After closing the App and trying again Same procedure. 
When I am in a wlan (even not my Home One) it's working ok again. 
All settings are ok (mobile data activated). 
pretty frustrating as the purpose of the cameras should be to Access them from abroad / on the run and Not being always in a wlan environment. 
 

as an Info: Not having a tapo cloud Account using it for free as i do not have the need to Store/Record Any Videos. It's "simple" used to overwatch the pets when not being at Home 
 

any clue why they behave like this and any Solution?

 

to be honest I have changed from my previous Anker Camera Set up as they stopped working After 4 years to Tapo as the Reviews are pretty good and now directly facing After buying them 2 weeks ago another issue.

Could you please confirm whether this issue only occurs on a specific phone? Have you tried logging in to the same account on a different phone and checking whether the issue persists when using mobile data?

I tried on another Mobile Phone (also iPhone) and there it's working without any issues. 
the iPhone not working in the cellular Environment is even newer (iPhone 16 Pro) the working one is an iPhone 11. 

i deinstalled and reinstalled the Tapo App on the 16pro but still not working. 
Any other ideas? I cannot use the iPhone 11 for using the Tapo App from abroad as this is my work Phone and prohibited to use for private Matters. 
 

It's really weird that on a newer One it's Not working but on an Old One....
