Tapo TC72 after update lights up red, doesn't respond to reset
Tuesday
Model: Tapo TC72
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: unknown

Hello.
After the camera started, I was able to connect to WiFi and set up the app on my phone. An update arrived.
The firmware update was interrupted.

Now the red LED is on but not blinking. I press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, but it doesn't help. I waited a long time and then tried a hard reset again. I held the reset button for several minutes. Nothing helps. I read the Tapo camera manuals on the forum.
Can you provide a link to update the firmware via SD card? If that doesn't work, I'll disassemble the camera and try installing it directly via LAN cable. I can't return it to the store under warranty.

Hi,

Thank you for your post.  For the TC72 model, we do not have a specific firmware recovery solution available. Please refer to the method below instead.

1. Please ensure your reset operation is correct. How to Factory Reset Your Tapo Camera: Two Methods

2. Try the steps below to recover your camera.
1) Make sure the internet is stable and the router has a strong signal.
2) Power off the camera.
3) Move the camera closer to the router and power on the camera.
4) Wait for around 10 minutes, the camera will automatically connect to the previous Wi-Fi and re-upgrade the firmware.

Best Regards,

Hello. These instructions didn't help me. The camera isn't responding. I'll try sending it in for service. Thanks.
