Deco x50 not connecting to NBN
Hi all,
I live in Australia with NBN.
I recently purchased a Deco x50 mesh system.
Upon attempted installation, it continuously says unable to establish connection to the internet. I have run a health check and my internet is perfect.
I powered down my NBN box too so it forgets previous address from old router.
To my understanding, I can connect one of the x50 points directly to the NBN box with no modem/router in-between. IP is set to dynamic as instructed by my ISP.
Any insight as to why it wont establish connection would be great. Thank you.

What type of NBN connection have you got?
If it is fttp, it should be setup as Wifi router mode and dynamic ip (my X20 are setup like this with fttp with Mate communicate and woking fine)
What provider are you with?

Hi,
In your situation, you can try the steps in the following video to troubleshoot.
What to do if I fail to configure the main Deco and get stuck on "Testing Internet Connection"?
If the same phenomenon persists, please confirm the following information.
1. Please disconnect the main Deco from the NBN box and connect a PC instead. Do you have internet on your PC from the NBN box? If not, try rebooting the NBN box. If the PC still has no internet, please contact your ISP to confirm the detailed configuration information, such as the internet connection type (Dynamic IP or PPPoE), username, password, and VLAN ID.
2. If your PC has internet, please check the IP address on it.
3. When the main Deco is connected to the NBN box, on the Deco app > More > Internet Connection > IPv4 page, what's the IP address?

I have FTTP with Exetel which accepts Dynamic IP. I have it set to Dynamic IP but there is no option in the app when doing a first time set-up to pick WiFi router mode. I couldn't see it atleast.

In my app the setting is here:
Deco App > Deco X20-DSL > Settings > Operation Mode
It should be similar in yours, with fttp it must be in router mode

Hi,
Usually, you can go to the Deco app > More > Advanced > Operation Mode page to select the Deco's operation mode.
When Deco works in the Wi-Fi router mode, you can go to the More > Internet Connection > IPv4 page to set up the internet dial-up details, such as the internet connection type.

There is some good news, but also bad.
I have managed to set-up the main device as router and added an access point to it.
The bad news, i have confirmed there is something wrong with the set-up as I'm only receiving speeds of 2mpbs download.
I have performed a health check with NBN connection and its perfect, I have also plugged a laptop directly into UNI-D 1 on NBN box and I recieve my full speed via that connection.
Any further ideas would be amazing. I have read that multiple set-up attempts can scramble to Deco devices and cause connection issues.
