Would it be possible to update the app so we can set the Spotlight time for less than 5 minutes?

I have my camera set on a passageway so 5 minutes is excessive.

Two minutes or even one would be suitable enough to capture any movement. Maybe allow users to enter a custom time in the settings?

Which Tapo camera do you have? You can check whether your device's spotlight can be controlled via Smart Action. If it does, you might be able to set a shorter duration for the light. *Add a new automation or shortcut, go to the Action section, select your camera and check what skills are available. Tapo Smart Actions: How to Set Up Automations and Shortcuts on the Tapo App

For example, you could create an automation rule like this: “When the camera detects motion, Then turn on the spotlight for 2 minutes.”

@Wayne-TP This was informative so thank you but unfortunately my camera doesn't seem to have that specific smart action. The model is C510W.
