I connected a Deco X20 via ethernet to the modem/router combobox with Dynamic IP, AP mode, and everything seems to work fine on the main unit.

Then I added another Deco X20 on 1st floor. It looks okay with a stable green.

However, none of my devices is able to connect to the 2nd unit, even if my device is right next to it. When I used the Deco app to force assign a device to the 2nd unit, the device simply disconnects from the network. I tried assigning my iPhone and PS5 to the 2nd Deco unit, and both simply disconnects. I've swapped the Deco units, still doesn't work.

 

Any advice?

Hi,
You can try to factory reset the 2nd Deco, reconfigure it to connect to the main Deco via Wi-Fi, and then check if the 2nd Deco works fine.

 

If not, please confirm the following information for further analysis.
  1. If the 2nd Deco has a solid green light, do you have internet when connecting a laptop/PC to it via an Ethernet cable?
  2. When next to the 2nd Deco, can you see the Deco's Wi-Fi name with a stronger signal than connecting to the main Deco? If you fail to connect to it, what error message appears on your phone?
  3. If you turn off the main Deco, factory reset the 2nd Deco, connect it to the modem/router by an ethernet cable, create a new Deco network for it, does it work fine?
