Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.6.0

Hi, Is the Deco X60(EU)_V3.20_1.6.12 Build 20260513 firmware from the below download link compatible for Deco X60 V4.20? Please advise. Thanks

I currently have 2x Deco X60 V.3.2 and 2x Deco X60 V4.2 – all of them are currently in the firmware version V1.6.0 Build 20250720 Rel. 54900. V1.6.0 was an unified firmware for both versions (V3.2 and V4.2).

Hi,
The Deco X60 V3.2 and V4.2 share the same firmware download link; you can use firmware v1.6.12 on the Deco X60 V4.2.

Best Regards

@Solla-topee Thanks a lot for the clarification. The firmware download link for V4.2 is showing only 1.6.0 and not 1.6.12; that's why I asked for clarification.

@senpoos1 - thanks for this post. I've been trying to resolve losing the list of devices from the mobile app - which happens on a daily basis (only only reappears after a reboot of all the Decos - now set at 5am every morning) and AI alerted me to this firmware upgrade for my Dec x60 mesh. Lets hope this fixes the issue that AI reckons it might !:

Flash the Stabilised 1.6.12/Later Firmware Patch

TP-Link acknowledged this memory buffer tracking fault under heavy client loads in the unified 1.6.0 codebase. They subsequently rolled out stabilized engineering updates (such as version 1.6.12 or newer depending on your specific hardware revision) which expand the internal database string parameters.

This update permanently resolves the uci_set configuration panics, allowing custom-named devices to remain visible in the mobile app without crashing the system highway.
