Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2

Hello. Would it be possible to request a feature to show the Ethernet link speed of Mesh Nodes and connected devices. Currently if a Mesh Node is operating in wireless mode you can see a signal strength. However, when connected via Ethernet there is nothing. It would be good to know the link speed and duplex setting that the device is connected at... 2500/FULL, 1000/FULL, 100/HALF, etc.

The same applies to wireless connected devices - the app shows a signal strength. However, anything connected via Ethernet does not get a link speed/duplex setting shown.

This would be a useful troubleshooting tool to understand any cabling issues within a network.

I would also like to see the same feature for the Deco X50 V1 (firmware 1.8.0) as I manage a couple of networks based on these devices for family.

Many Thanks...

So much this. It's a basic feature, and there's literally no way to confirm that I'm linked at 2.5Gbps. Frustrating.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your feedback and feature requests. It's recommended to vote and leave your comments on the thread "Request to Show Ethernet Connection Speed in Deco App" for evaluation.

Usually, if a wired client device is connected to the Deco, you can find the link speed on that device.
How to check the associated/link speed on a wired client

Best Regards

Thanks for the response on this. I agree you can usually see a connected device's link speed on the device itself. But that isn't always the case and depending on the device isn't always easy. It's also usually possible to see wireless signal strength and speed on a connected device, however the Deco app does provide this information in the app.

So to me, for consistency it would be helpful to have ethernet link speed and duplex displayed for connected devices and Mesh nodes.

The Deco app is a central point of administration, so it would be far more convenient within the app to see the connection speed of all devices - wired or wireless. Rather than having to look individually at specific devices for their ethernet link speed.

But in the case of wired backhaul - it's not possible to see the negotiated backhaul speed anywhere. And that would be very useful to have.

After searching the forum, it does seem this feature request does come up consistently. It would be great to see it implemented in the app.

Best Regards...
