Hello. I would like the ability to insert a static route entry on the Deco router. I've searched through the interface and I don't think this is available today. Is this something we could see in a future release?

Thanks.

Currently Deco doesn't support the static route feature.

May I know what's your scene regarding this feature?

My home network is segmented into subnetworks and is not comprised of the single Deco network. The Deco, however, is the Internet gateway. Static routing on the Deco would vastly simplify creating network adjacencies between the multiple networks in the house.

I have the same request. My scenario is that i run an OpenVPN server at home, the VPN clients get added to network segment 10.8.0.0 but the Deco's are on 192.168.68.0. I need to add a static route on the Deco so that it can route internet traffic back to the VPN clients.

@Meshh

Update:

Hi, there is already a plan to support Static Route on Deco and you could vote to add more support: Add Static Route

And The latest firmware for Deco X50/Deco X55 starts supporting Static Route.

Early Release VPN/Static Route/MTU Firmware for Deco X50/X55

For other models, It might still need some time.

Best regards.

Is this dead?
I would also love static routes, especially now that I have Starlink.
It would be nice to be able to take their provided wifi router out of the equation completely, but that would require a static route pointed at the dish for the app to still work.

Come on tp-link, you need to add this fundamental feature that every other router has.

  @TP-Link

Hi, I note that we are coming up in three years since this was raised.

I have $500 worth of Decos that are about to be sold because i can't create an IPv6 static route.

I switched out my old TP-Link gear for the Deco x20s and x20-DSL, which I love. The problem is that I need to be able to route some IPv6 subnets for work. This is a massive problem for me.

How is that these expensive routers can't do something so basic as to specify and route some internal IPv6 subnets?

Please get this resolved ASAP.

I'll be persisting with a VPN for a couple of weeks and then i'll be ditching TP-Link; pretty sad really.

Acea.

  @84ace people are waiting for most obvious thing in router described as "mesh" - manual signal choose for the devices and units since 3-4 years.

TP-Link are not taking Feature requests seriously.

About X series - I got X90 and currently (I hope) TP-Link are trying to make my devices to work with it, because it is ultra incompatible router.

Frustrated Deco (X90, M9 Plus, M4R, E4) & Tapo (C200, C210) owner looking for solutions to use the investment in them. Expensive Plastic...

@TP-Link , this is an essential feature that everyone expects from a router, literally everyone (just looks at the similar topics on the forum, there are many of them!)
