Deco M9 Plus parental controls; how to white-list a URL
I see no way in the parental controls to whitelist sites (only blacklist) per user. I have one teenager trying to access sites that should not be blocked (in my opinion) - for example www.speedo.com (a web site for swimming accessories and clothing), and www.vintageandvinyl.co.uk (a record store)...
I understand TP-Link curates sites for their hard coded whitelist, so how does one submit valid sites for inclusion (if it is not possible to whitelist them in the app)?

Hi,
Below is the instruction to setup parental control via Deco app.
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1598/
As you know, there is no whitelist available now, only blacklist. While this feature has been forwarded to our R&D team, and they are working on it.
You can keep an eye on official website for it updates.
Thanks for your cooperation and support in advance, and have a nice day.

Hi @ToddH and all, thanks you all again for your valued suggestions.
As we respond earlier this feature request has been forwarded to our R&D team, and they are evaluating how to improve or add this functionality. While there is currently no exact date or time expectation for the new firmware supporting it.
It is suggested to keep an eye on the Deco app or the official website for any updates in the future.
We hope you could understand and wait, thanks.

@Kevin_Z no update on this? Seems like such an obvious feature.

Yes please add this!
for example, if I want to give a kids device access to an email account but not all of the sites available for online communication. I would want to filter online communication, but whitelist one site for email.

Not yet; there do have a firmware that will be released for Deco M9 plus v2 in the near future, but I'm afraid that the white-list rule for parental control has not included.
We will summarize the feedback we received and reach out to our Product department. Any updates, we will let you know.

This is extremely limiting to using categories for content filtering. This is an essential feature for any system that uses categories for content control. Get it done or many like me will move onto a system that works for our real world needs.
this is a significant limitation for me especially with kids at home doing online school.

Yesterday I tried to block individual sites on the app having drilled down on a users parental controls profile. When clicking on 'Netflix' for example it gives the option to 'block this site'. Great I thought, can stop the kids watching tv during the day (when they should be doing schoolwork), which it did... However, there is no way to then reactivate that site! Had to completely delete that profile and start again.... grrrrr!!!!

So this is not going to be implemented in a near (or distant) future?
Is it really that hard to put all new devices in a Default group that you can use parental control on?
For me it feels like a basic feature, since it's so easy to "hack" the parental control by changing the mac-address.
If this is implemented it would so great.
Best regards,
Johan Samuelsson

@MarkPayne I wanted to echo the above statements. I have an M5 system and just discovered that I'm not able to whitelist individual websites. This is a major problem for any serious content filter. Specifically because the 'adult content' filter is ridiculously broad. It lumps pornography into the same category as alcohol or hunting related websites. This single category needs to be broken into multiple categories and a whitelist option added for individual website.
Are these features in development, and if so when can I expect them to be released?
