@DikkieDick I completed configuration and upgrade fw to 1.3.0 for all 3. Everything fine. Working in AP mode behind my OpenWRT router.

I'm really satisfied for now, no more dead spots, much improved coverage. I still have to fine tune the position but in 1 hour I had everything up and running as expected.

The web interface is really disappointing though. Can't do almost anything, but also for monitoring, not much info. That's an area to be improved.

@alexdelprete

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear that it works properly for now.

There do not have much information on the web UI, actually it is mainly used to update the firmware amd view some information, like log;

Most features can be setup via the Deco app; while we will forward your request to our RD team to make the web UI more useful.

Good day.

@alexdelprete Nice to hear. I have the same. Wifi at home is way better now. Webinterface is new with the latest FW and needs some expansion.

I got a reply from Dutch support with respect to V1 vs V2. They state that performance/functionality between V1 and V2 is exactly the same. Didn't answer my question if hardware has been modified/upgraded, so asked that and another reply: there has been a modification at PCBA which shouldn't be visible with regular use. Then, what will be irregular use? ;-)

Well, I won't go through the hassle in exchanging the set.

There is not much difference between Deco M9 plus V1 and V2; They use their own firmware, unlike Deco M5 V1 and V2 share the same firmware.

You can refer to the datasheet to get more details.

The firmware for Deco M9 plus V1 is on its way, while we are not sure the ETA now, it is still under testing.

The different hardware versions won't affect the performance, except different hardware, different model number of Deco can build up the mesh network.

May it help and have a good day.

Update: The latest firmware 1.3.0 for Deco M9 plus V1 has been released. You can go to official website to get it.

@Kevin_Z

I just received a v2 version in the Netherlands. It seems that the latest firmware is still 1.2.10 20190809 and has less functionality than the v1 version or the firmware of the deco m5. When is an update of the v2 version expected that brings it on par?

@DikkieDick: I decided the same: not exchange the set for v2. probably they're just using different revisions of hardware but functionality is the same. who cares. The new wifi standard is out, in a couple of years we will change these too. :)

@Koeno

Thanks for your requesting.

These new features will be added gradually via the firmware upgrading, wile the estimated supporting time is still unsure.

You can keep an eye on official website or Deco app to get more information.

You that got v1 hardware shall be happy.

I just bought v2 and it has still not received a firmware with the 1.3 functions you received in September/October.

So their is actually a big difference in favour of the old v1 that has much better firmware.

The v2 persons just get the feedback that tp is working on a 1.3 firmware för v2, but no ETA what so ever

Hi I first bought a 3-pack of M9 Plus V1, worked perfectly with the app. Then I bough 1 set more and got the V2. It installed with the app, but I cant see what devices is connected the the V2. V2 doesn´t seem to be supported by the app yet. When will this be fixed?
