Hello all, sorry to respond late.

 

Please ensure you are tagging a TP-Link Admin if you want a timely response. Unless we are tagged we do not see that new responses have been added. We do not subscribe to every thread so rely on Tagging to ensure responses.

 

For the firmware upgrade issues on the Deco M9 Plus V2, please read the below:
1. We released a new firmware for the Deco M9 Plus V2 months ago, and below is the download link, which is marked Deco M9 Plus(EU)_V2_200324, or Deco M9 Plus(US) _V2_200324 on the local official website:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/deco-m9-plus/#Firmware

2. This new firmware can ONLY be updated from the older 2019 version via the Upgrade Tool, you cannot update it via the web nor on the Deco app. Upgrade Tool can be downloaded from the below link:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/deco-m9-plus/#Utility

3. If you cannot log into the Upgrade Tool with your TP-Link ID and password, please refer to the below troubleshooting guide first:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2930/
Note: If you still fail to update or login, it is suggested to try different computers.

@TP-Link_Deco  thanks for hints, I have upgraded the firmware. However, after I login it kicks me off in 2-5 seconds and I have to login again and again .... I have already tried different browsers and computers but still the same behavior... any help ?

What does this mean "after I log in it kicks me off in 2-5 seconds and I have to login again and again"? Which page do you log in, the web interface of the Deco M9 or the Upgrade Tool, or the Deco app?

Updated my Deco M9 plus V2 to FW 1.4.3 2020 09 21 build 42500

 

using the upgrade tool I found the username/email is case sensitive!

 

web interface;

 

http://192.xxx.x.xxx:30000 

 

Best is using router IP

I had to hardwire my laptop to the main deco, and then the upgrade with the tool worked like a charm.

Your hint to add the access port 30000 fixed the final piece and got me into the web interface.

 

finally ! Running 1.4.3 20200921 and web ui available.

Hi, I tried to do the same thing, but I cannot log in to the update utility software. It says "Incorrect TP-Link ID or password. Please enter again or go to the Deco app to retrieve your password", but my login credential is definitely working as I'm here, logged in with the same TP-Link ID and posting this message ... I have no idea what's wrong with that software... I've raised my issue here: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/242826

I'm having the same issue, and this is outrageous.

I have discovered by reading the posts here that Deco M9 does not have web UI.

Even $ 20 routers have web UI for admins. What a shame.
