AX21 vs. AX20
AX21 vs. AX20
Hi,
I've noticed there is a new version of WiFi 6 router AX21 with same specs as AX20.
What is the actual difference between these two models?
Best,
Luca

Actually, there is one difference listed on the product page for the AX21.
"Improved Vent Design: Unleashes the full power of the whole machine."

Does it mean that the vent design of AX20 is insufficient and it can be overheating?

@_Luca_ I just purchase one from Walmart, could not see any designation on the shipping box. Can you look at the unit somewhere and tell whether it is an AX20 or 21?

On the bottom of the device should be a sticker with the model, HW version and credentials. Actually there are pretty obvious differences on the box picture itself as well.

@Ivaylo Thanks, can see nothing to indicate it on the unit itself. Just noticed the difference in the picture on the box, thanks. I received the AX20, just noticed on Amazon there is a $30 difference in price right now between the 2. Think I can live with the AX20. Changed over from a Netgear and have been very pleased so far.

@Ivaylo I do, except where you have it circled mine just has Model Archer AX1800, no AX20 or 21.

The AX20 has Samba server. I assume it's to access the files on a USB attached drive.
Edit: But why should you believe me? https://www.tp-link.com/us/compare/?typeId=9&productIds=42112%2C36411

Global website says AX21 also has Samba server. Might be an error on US version of the website.
