Hi,

I'm upgrading my internet to 500mbps unifi package and planning to set up a mesh system with 2x M9+ (free from unifi) and 2x M4/M5 for a 6000sqft home. One M9 will be used as main router. The 2nd M9+ will be installed in the TV/Movie room to ensure uninterrupted movie streaming. The 2x M4/M5 will be installed at different blink spot areas where high speed internet is not too critical (opposite end from the TV room). I will like to know if the dedicated wifi backhaul channel will still work between the 2x M9+ if I add 2x M4/M5, or do I need to purchase 2 additional M9+ instead of the M4/M5 for the wifi backhaul to work.

Thanks.

Hello, thanks for asking.

All the Deco models are compatible with each other, so the Deco M9 Plus can build up a Wi-Fi backhaul with Deco M4/M5 without an issue.

Good days.
