Model: Archer T2U Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Basically I have the Archer T2U Plus and it was working fine with the latest Catalina driver.

When trying to install on Big Sur Beta though, the driver installation always fails and the antenna is not detected properly.

This is because Apple changed the driver installation backbone to DriverKit and all drivers have to be updated to support Big Sur.

Seeing as a lot of people around the world use this Wi-fi antenna, your development team should update the driver for Big Sur.

Please, also let me know if there is some sort of workaround to get it to work under Big Sur.

Hello all, I found a customer resolved his issue by installing the driver on his macOS Big Sur, you may check if you can make yours work as well:

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/stories/detail/1642

Note: this may require to disable the SIP and give the authority of this App on your macOS, which is not recommended by Apple, it's up to you whether you want to try this.

@Kathy_Z

Hi, any update on this? Big Sur public update just around the corner so would be ideal to get these drivers available before then.

Thanks

Hello! Has there been any developments with this. I only just updated my Mac OS to BigSur and didn’t see any of these. Has TP Link released a driver for this or do I have to buy an different wireless USB adapter that does support Big Sur. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks for the quick reply! If only the dev team worked as fast as you:) it seems they could use someone like you to help that stay on top of drivers and upcoming updates for their hardware. A return is not an option unfortunately. I’m sort of stuck with a Mac with no wifi as I don’t know if any wifi adapter has a Big Sur driver. If anyone knows another option, I would appreciate the help! Thank you all the same

But they didn't even put out a full release for Catalina... Only a dubious beta #TPLinkSupportSucks
