I bought a WA850RE repeater and can't get a connection to my network.
I am trying to strengthen a Wifi network that is "free" (without a password, has to be).
Is it possible to use the WA850RE with a free Wifi? Does it support password-protected networks only?

Is Free Wi-Fi a Portal WiFi? ( a page pop up after connected to that Wi-Fi and requires to login) As the Portal authentication methods of public Wi-Fi is not uniform, it is not recommend connecting RE to a portal Wi-Fi.
RE could connect to an Open Wi-Fi of a Wi-Fi router, but kindly note that Range extender uses the same wireless security as main network.
That means if your Wi-Fi is open, RE's extended network is also an open Wi-Fi requires no password.
