Model: Deco E4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.4.4 Build 20200921 Rel.34199

So, I've been having a very annoying problem lately. My pc disconnects from the internet entirely after gaming for about 20 to 30 minutes. Then it does not come back for about 1-2 minutes. This only happens with some games like: Overwatch and Squad. My pc is connected via Ethernet to my deco. I've already checked the support section in the deco app but I didn't find anything useful. I checked and my ip is set to be dynamic in my router and in windows. My pc is the only device where this happens and it is the only one that has a wired connection. I've tried everything in the deco config but nothing worked. My internet has 100mb of speed. I really don't know what else to do. If you need more information about my problem pls ask for it.

@Aerostatic

Hi,

Did this PC connected via cable to the main Deco or one of the satellite Deco?

If the PC was connected to the ISP modem, would it have the same issue with gaming?

When PC lost the internet connection, did you still get the correct IP address from Deco and were you able to ping the gateway and 8.8.8.8?

Would unplugging/plugging the cable on the computer temporarily fix this issue?

Thank you very much.

@TP-Link  The pc is connected via cable to one of the satellite deco. I didn't have the same problem when i connected it to the modem. When I unplug it and plug it back in it does solve the problem for a while but then it just back to disconnecting again. I didn't understand your third question so I would appreciate if you could tell me how to check that.

Thank you for your answer.

@Aerostatic

Hi, how to check the IP address and run the ping test:

  • Press Windows+R keys to open the Run.
  • Type “ cmd ” in the run and press enter.
  • Now type “ ipconfig ” to show the IP address.
  • And when this laptop went offline, did other mobile clients on the same Deco drop internet connection as well?

@TP-Link No, the only device that went offline is this PC.
