Not getting full speed with Archer T9UH V2 at 5GHz
Hi,
I recently upgraded to 1000/100 Mbps, and unfortunately, I'm not getting that advertised "1.3 Gbps" over 5GHz WiFi.
The best I got was around 530 Mbps. Upload is fairly consistent at around 97 Mbps.
The router is FritzBox 6660.
Any tips, tricks, suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Hello @p3r02d3r0
The advertised 1.3 Gbps is the Link Speed or Negotiated speed on the physical layer, and actual 5Ghz Wi-Fi speed could be 40%-60% of the Link speed and also limited by speed comes from router. How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client
Archer T9UH adapter supports 802.11ac, and to get the 1.3Gbp= 3*433Mbps maximum Wi-Fi Link speed on 5Ghz, it needs to work at 3* MIMO & 80Mhz.
From your router model spec, it seems Fritz box modem supports 2* MIMO, so at best you should get 2*433Mbps WiFi link speed on 5Ghz.
- If the link speed is 866Mbps, then your actual speed seems to be reasonable.
- If Link speed does not reach 866Mbps, try to adjust Router 5Ghz settings to 80Mhz and see if that helps improve 5Ghz link speed.
Hope this helps clear things up.

@Solla-topee thanks for replying. That makes sense.
Yes, the router has already been set to 5GHz/80MHz, and with the latest speedtest I'm getting 543.59 / 96.93. So, those speeds are reasonable?
Thanks

Hello @p3r02d3r0
It sounds like the case i mentioned above. Please check if 5Ghz Wi-Fi link speed is around 866Mbps, if so 500+Mbps actual Wi-Fi speed/ speed test is reasonable

@Solla-topee Yep, seems like it.
Out of curiosity, is there a tweak to get more speed out of it? A repeater?
Thanks!
