Having the same issue as others. Sitting right next to my Deco and my brand new laptop that supports 6E still connecting to 2.4G. Thinks it’s time to return it and plug my old nighthawk back in. Please allow assignment to separate bands!

  @David-TP Please consider adding the functionality to separate and name the different bands. i understand its common in mesh networks to use all one SSID and let the hardware do the intelligent routing but some of us techie individuals want that control! Thanks!

How is this NOT a feature? It looks like functionality that you had implemented for older devices, you went and bothered to remove.

  @David-TP Yeah this feature is absolutely needed for home IoT, idk why you guys do not implement it into Deco series. Just bought a M5 3-pack today, everything is fine but this...

  @David-TP This is a hugely needed feature for more advanced users. Being able to block a mac address from connecting to specific bands would also probably fix most of our issues. Please! give us more advanced options!!!

  @David-TP

I recently purchased a TP-Link Deco Mesh router for my home. The price was great and I really wanted a mesh system. Due to this problem without two separate ssids for 2.4 and 5 ghz, only half of my devices would connect. My Ring doorbell and inside camera system would not connect and none of my smart bulbs or smart plugs would connect. I am really disappointed and will have to return the units to Amazon.

Do you have any plans on correcting this in the future?

Just purchased the X75 Pros, and just learned I cant separate SSID for 2.4 and 5. It looks like I will be returning them because I want the ability to separate them or an IoT area  that is not Guest.

This is needed! I have IOT that need 2.4GHz. The Deco XE75 is unreliable and the 2.4 GHz flakes out and my devices all stop working. Guest workaround does not work as it break HomeKit.
