TP-link extender 2.4gz very slow - how do I fix?

Model: RE505X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.11 build 20210511 rel. 174130

I just installed my extender and have FIOS Internet. The extender does great on 5ghz

signal but the signal on the 2.4ghz is worse than the original FiOS router. I have done speed tests where I'm trying to solve slow speeds and here are the stats:

- FIOS router - 35mbps up/35 down

- extender - 1mbps up/15 down

How can I fix this? If I can't fix this I will be returning the device. Thanks.

  Hello @Vtdchi

sorry for the late response, if only 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi is slow, you could try adjusting the 2.4Ghz wifi channel and channel width on the main router, like channel 1-11, and channel width 40Mhz. Please also try some tips here when test speed and ensure RE receive strong wifi signal.

What should I do if Internet/download speed is slow when the device is connected to the TP-Link Range Extender?
